YETI Boomer Dog Bowl Review

Give your gun dog the perfect food and water dish – the new YETI Boomer Dog Bowl

If you’re a gun dog owner, you know how important it is for your pooch to be healthy and fit. Tracking, flushing and retrieving game require a high-energy diet and lots of water. What better way to feed and hydrate your gun dog than with the new YETI Boomer Dog Bowl?

That’s right. YETI now offers a premium dog bowl and it’s the perfect daily dish for your pup.

When I first heard about this new product, I was ecstatic. Then I saw the price – 50 big ones for a dog bowl! Don’t let the price scare you though, YETI really knocked it out of the dog park with this bowl and it’s a good spend. Boomer is durable, easy-to-clean, and will have your gun dog wagging his tail.

YETI products are built to last and the Boomer Dog Bowl is no different. Constructed of sturdy stainless steel, Boomer is ready to withstand the outdoors and some serious ruff-housing. I dropped Boomer outside on the concrete and was amazed to find it dent-free. If it were a ceramic dog bowl, it surely would have shattered. This may be the last dog bowl your four-legged hunting buddy ever needs.

Stainless steel is one of the most recommended materials for pet food containers and for good reason. It’s not only strong, but also good for your gun dog’s health. Unlike plastic food bowls – which can become chew toys, harbor bad bacteria, and contain harmful chemicals – the stainless-steel Boomer is non-porous (hindering the growth of bacteria) and BPA-free.

One of my favorite features of the YETI Boomer Dog Bowl is that it’s dishwasher safe. No matter what I put in the bowl – protein-packed kibble or treats – it is effortless to clean. When my best friend has finished chowing down, I simply put the bowl into the dishwasher. The bowl can hold a good amount of food too (8 cups), which is great for large gun dog breeds.

I like that Boomer is slip-resistant and a bit heavier than most stainless-steel pet bowls. My dog has a habit of pushing his bowl around, resulting in spilled food and water all over the place. With Boomer, this is no longer an issue. The non-slip ring on the bottom keeps the bowl in one place.
