The Tri-Tronics Sport Junior, priced at under $200, comes with seven levels of nick and constant stimulation adjusted on a dial and delivered from two easy-to-access buttons.


Both the collar-receiver and transmitter are powered by batteries that are readily replaced, rather than recharged. This is a convenient feature when batteries burn out in the field, miles from a 110-volt electric outlet. Range for the Sport Junior is one quarter-mile.
