To complement the newest shells, choke tube manufacturers have designed highly advanced products to keep pace.

To complement the newest shells, choke tube manufacturers have designed highly advanced products to keep pace. Certainly the latest offerings in field loads and chokes provide hunters with a previously non-existent advantage.

Environ-Metal
Known for their Hevi-Shot shotshells, Environ-Metal has released their new Hevi-Shot Waterfowl Choke Tubes to complement their ammunition line. Pattern Density Technology combined with porting that drops gas pressure at the muzzle and helps ease the wad away from the shot string contribute to tight downrange performance. Forged from aircraft stainless steel, each Hevi-Shot Waterfowl Choke tube can be changed in the field without the use of tools and features internal axial rings that ensure shot clouds stay on target. Two Waterfowl Choke Tubes are available, one that is designed for hunting over decoys and another that excels at jump and pass shooting where longer ranges are a factor. And for those who also gun for gobbling toms, Hevi-Shot offers a Turkey Choke Tube System.

Foiles
After extensively field testing their new heat-treated, alloy-steel constructed choke tubes on birds that range in size from doves to wild turkeys, Foiles released their Strait Heat Choke Tubes to the general hunting public. Available in 20-, 12- and 10-gauge versions that fit most popular shotgun makes and models, the Strait Heat Choke Tubes feature an innovative wad-catching design that delivers consistent patterns at any range. All Foiles Strait Heat Choke Tubes are competitively priced.

Briley
New additions to Briley's Black Cloud line of choke tubes include the Midrange and the Decoy, which join forces with the Down Range. Designed to handle Federal's Black Cloud shotshells and their FliteControl wads, each choke has a specific purpose depending on hunter needs. The Down Range functions best at 45-plus yards, the Midrange is suited for shots in the range of 30 to 45 yards and the Decoy model performs best on shots at distances of 30 yards or less, meaning they've got gunners covered from prom-date close to specks on the horizon.

Carlson
To capitalize on Federal Ammunition's new Prairie Storm shotshells, the folks at Carlson Choke Tubes have introduced Prairie Storm Chokes. Designed to throw a dense pattern over longer distances, Prairie Storm Chokes ensure each shot pattern is held together well downrange, resulting in less wounding and more birds in the gamebag. The titanium-coated chokes are available in a Light Modified model for early season and an Improved Modified model for later in the season when pressured birds are more likely to flush wild and/or at longer ranges.

TRUGLO
To provide the ultimate in convenience, TRUGLO designed their screw-in Titan Adjustable Choke Tubes with the idea that hunters should be able to swap choke tubes while in the field--without any tools. The Titan features a collar that allows shooters the opportunity to twist and click it into position. TRUGLO has hunters covered from doves to ducks and everything in between with Titan choke options that range from cylinder to extra full.

Flambeau
Highly lethal patterns at unprecedented distances are the name of the game for Flambeau's MAD Fowl Max Waterfowl Choke Tube, which is available for most popular 12-gauge shotguns. Holding a 91-percent pattern in a 30-inch circle at 30 yards allows hunters the opportunity to cleanly kill at distances out to 60 yards when they employ the Fowl Max. Capable of handling steel and non-toxic alloy, each choke features patented vertical porting that effectively separates the wad from the shot string and promotes uniform patterns.
