SHOT Show 2016: Tanglefree Flight Series Mallard Decoy

SHOT Show 2016: Tanglefree Flight Series Mallard Decoy

The Gun Dog Online staff saw first hand at SHOT Show 2016 that the Tanglefree Flight Series Mallard decoy is far from a quick wood shop creation that was immediately mass produced.

When you first look at this decoy, you almost think it's the real thing. The craftsmanship and detail that went into making this decoy is easily observed the second it lays in your hands. World class decoy carver's and artist's, recruited waterfowl hunting experts with over 100 years experience, to examine live mallards and critique them in every different scenario, before taking the first steps in developing a prototype.

The Tanglefree booth at SHOT Show 2016 had many realistic-looking decoys inside, but few came close to the incredible color schemes and art detail than the Tanglefree Flight Series Mallard had. The body has a bulky look to it and the feathers are carved so perfectly that you can see little feathers on top of feathers! Decoy carver Michael Braun worked very closely with the Tanglefree team to ensure the observations of waterfowl hunting experts were relayed from concept to a living reality on the water.

The Flight Series includes 2 upright drakes, 2 rester drakes, and 2 upright hens. MSRP is $79.99 for the Flight Series Mallard set of 6.

Upright Drake- L 16.5" W 8" H 6.5"

Rester Drake- L 15.5" W 8" H 5.75"

Upright Hen- L 16.5" W 8" H 6.5"

The incredible detail and craftsmanship that went into the Tanglefree Flight Series Mallard is second to none. SHOT Show 2016 had tons of beautiful guns, but none came close in detail to the Tanglefree Flight Series.
