Garmin Alpha 300 Series The Garmin Alpha 200 handheld took the upland world by storm, and Garmin is building on to that successful unit by adding more features in this new edition. The new Alpha 300 gives hunters three times more battery life, a 3.5-inch vivid touchscreen that can be used while wearing gloves , new features such as a new main menu design, and “favorites bar” to help you customize your unit exactly to your needs. The 300i model also includes inReach satellite technology for an extra level of safety while afield.

However, new for the 300 series is its compatibility with Garmin Outdoor Maps+. This mapping system requires a subscription but gives users premium mapping content right on their device, and includes landowner names, boundaries for public/private land, wildlife management areas, National Forests, and more.
The Alpha 300 series is compatible with the following dog collars: T 5, T 5 Mini, T 5X, TT 15, TT 15 Mini, and TT 15X; as well as Alpha 200, Alpha 10, Alpha 100, and PRO 550 Plus handhelds, in case you would like to pair units to track your hunting buddy in the field.
Alpha TT 25 and T 20 Dog Training Collars Slimmed down and lighter, the new Alpha TT 25 and T 20 collars are built rugged and are capable of up to 68 hours of continual use with a standard battery pack. If you’re looking for even more life, a new extended battery pack (sold separately) can give you up to 136 hours of continual use.
The new TT25 and T 20 dog tracking collars from Garmin feature longer battery lives, allowing you and your dog to push further into the wild uplands. (Photo courtesy of Garmin) Don’t let the new thin appearance of the collars fool you. They are made for both large and small breeds and provide tracking up to nine miles away. Dynamic tracking detects when your dog is moving, stopped, or kenneled. To help extend battery life, GPS track point intervals have been decreased. Additionally, reducing this dynamic tracking helps decrease the chances of potential interference with other Garmin dog collars that may be hunting nearby.
To help distinguish dogs in low light, hunters can customize the LED beacon light on the collars. Seven colors are available and can be changed from a compatible handheld.
The Alpha TT 25 and T 20 collars are compatible with existing Garmin handhelds, including the Alpha 10, Alpha 100, Alpha 200, Alpha 200i, Alpha 300, Alpha 300i, Astro 430, and PRO 550 Plus.
