Hosted by Kali Parmley, Editor-in-Chief and Associate Publisher of GUN DOG Magazine, and Associate Editor Nathan Ratchford, Wild Upland takes viewers on journeys through America’s untamed landscapes in pursuit of wild birds.
Wild Upland is an aspirational production dedicated to wingshooting adventure, the gun dogs that sustain our heartbeat, and the education that awaits us in the unknown. Blended with applicable dog training tactics , lessons in canine health and hunting how-to, viewers will depart each experience full of ambition and knowledge to employ their own legend-worthy pursuits. As a respectful nod to those that first cut the path, Wild Upland is a step into the future and will be a map to the most unforgettable gun dog tales ahead.

Time to Get Wild “We wanted to step away from the norm and create a unique TV show that showcases passionate people, unique places, and most importantly, faithful bird dogs behind the sport we love most: upland hunting,” said Parmley.
Wild Upland takes viewers on adventures across the country in pursuit of the next covey flush. The hosts of Wild Upland traverse some of the most remote locations in search of untamed adventure including Idaho for Hungarian partridge and California quail, Arizona for Mearns and scaled quail, South Dakota’s wild ring-necked pheasants, Maine’s Northwoods for ruffed grouse, and more.
“This show is dedicated to passionate bird hunters and their hard-charging sporting dogs,” said Parmley. “We aimed to take you on exciting adventures through the uplands in pursuit of staunch points, unbelievable retrieves, and the thunder of a wild covey flush.”
GUN DOG’s Wild Upland premiers on the Outdoor Channel Tuesday, April 18th at 6:30 p.m., with new episodes every Tuesday through June 20, 2023.
