Folks sure do love puppies. After all, what's not to love? From being super cuddly to hilariously playful and rambunctious, puppies are about the most universally loved thing on the planet, something enjoyed by pretty much anyone with a soul. That includes outdoorsmen, who see a pup as a future hunting partner, one that will be flushing pheasants or diving for ducks while being a faithful and loyal companion for many years.

Wells writes, "He has seen me train our dog and he loves making duck sounds with the call. He is getting the puppies started young just like he was started young! Dale Usher sent this shot of a box of German shorthair pointer pups from Pondarosa Pointer in Sedalia, Ky. Yes, they're cute, Usher writes, but these pups are going to be awesome hunters someday.
