Paws for effect! Atlas is a 10-week-old Nova Scotia duck tolling retriever owned by Andrew Hotton.
Rhett, owned by a waterfowl and upland hunter in Florida, will return to Louter Creek's Hunting Poodles this spring for training.

CT (Long Lake's Crooked Tail) was born with a broken tail. Breeder Colin Schmaltz of Richmond, Minn., kept the pup everyone else passed up, and he has since turned into a great hunter and companion.
Rhys, a 2-month-old English setter, is owned by Paul Kormanik of Athens, Ga., and came from Mountain View Kennel in Kentucky.

Maggie is a 2-month-old French Brittany. According to her owner, Greg Filzen of Everett, Wash., she is becoming a fine companion and bird finder.
Pictured here at 3 months, Susie, a wirehaired pointing griffon, is often mistaken for a German shorthair due to her short coat. At 10 months she earned a NAVHDA Natural Ability Prize 1, scoring a perfect 112 points! Susie is owned by Gregg Scholtens of Shawnee, Kan.
Six-month-old Loki is a Drentsche Patrijshond and a true family dog. Loki lives in Blackfoot, Idaho with owner Jack Lusk.

SURVIVOR! Mozzi, an English springer spaniel, was one of five pups born to a rescued springer and is the sole survivor of the litter. Owners Matt and Kate Stock of Brookings, S.D., say Mozzi is sassy and bossy, just like her mom.

Seven-week-old Long Hollows Duck Machine (Gunner) is a Lab with way more energy than he knows what to do with, says owner Matt Kincer of Maple Valley, Wash.
'The Eyes of a Champion. ' Powers Pumpkin Lily is a 3-month-old English setter and is the granddaughter of Cosmo Girl. Her dominant trait is ENERGY, according to owner Joe Powers of Fort Smith, Ark.
The face of an angel! Owen is an 8-week-old Llewellin setter who loves the outdoors (especially snow). Owen is owned by Nicole and Mike Stricker of Grand Blanc, Mich.
'Fa caldo in Nebraska nel mese di Agosto! ' Translation: 'It's hot in Nebraska in August! ' insists Etta. Wolfsburg's Etta Juwel is a Small Munsterlander owned by Pam and Mario Robinson of Lincoln, Neb.
JUST CHILLIN'! Katie is a German shorthaired pointer, cooling off at 11 weeks of age. The photo was submitted by owner Randy Herel of Lincoln, Neb.
McVeigh's Ayerie Sorcerer's Apprentice, JH ('Merlin '), an English setter, points a quail at 14 weeks. Merlin lost an eye to trauma at 9 weeks but that never slowed him down, according to owner Ray McVeigh of Northville, Mich. Merlin earned his AKC Junior Hunter title at 9 months and his English Setter Association of America Hunting Dog title at 14 months.
BOO! Bowie (Boo) is a three-month-old vizsla puppy and future field champion, says owner Richard C. Coleman of Kansas City, Mo.
Vino and venison, anyone? Remington lives on a 175-acre Pinot Noir vineyard in Oregon that includes 15 acres of woods, where he enjoys chasing and playing with deer, according to owner Rob Holtsberry. Now fully-grown at 98 pounds, Remington shares his home with two bassets that often sleep on top of him.
AIRBORNE! According to owner Steve Curtis, Abbey loves to hunt but is perfectly at home as a lap dog as well. Abbey is a 4-month-old Brittany.
