Based on the proven Franchi 612 design, the 912 uses the same type of lightweight receiver and multi-lugged rotary bolt that locks directly to the chrome barrel. Unlike other 3 1/2'' magnum shotguns on the market, this model has been engineered to handle light 2 3/4 loads up to the heaviest 3 1/2'' magnums. It has the softest felt recoil of any 3 1/2'' magnum autoloader on the market. Equipped with Franchi's innovative Dual-Recoil-Reduction System, the 912 Variomax regulates the amount of expelled gas, thus reducing recoil.
