Alright hunters, it's time to show the world your gun dogs—whether they're cute puppies or well trained masters afield, this is your chance to show off your hunting buddies on what we here at Gun Dog magazine affectionately refer to as the World Wide Web. Don't just write about your dogs in your Christmas letter as though they were members of the family—show them off by posting a picture here.
Upload your photo below or send us an image of your dog, a brief description of what they're doing in the photo, age and breed to GunDogPics@imoutdoors.com

I snapped this picture last night as I have almost a million others of my boyfriend and our puppy. But this one is by far my favorite. Our puppy, "Goose", is a deutsch kurzhaar. We picked him up from a breeder the weekend before Christmas 2012. He is now almost 17 weeks old. My boyfriend, Russ, received his new issue of Gun Dog yesterday and of course, reading it was the first thing he did when he returned home from work. As you can see, Goose was very excited to see his "daddy" and decided to jump up in the chair, sit like a human, and read the magazine with him. Maybe Goose will pick up a few pointers (no pun intended) from your magazine!!

Here is a picture of Casey, my 4 year old GSP on a recent pheasant hunt to South Dakota. She is a very reliable retriever and loves to hunt pheasants.
—Ian Pizey
My 14 month old female GSP named Blitz. We hunted in central Indiana on a state property that allows hunters to conduct "clean-up" hunts on pheasants that had been released earlier in the fall. The two birds that I shot that day were pointed, held, and retrieved by Blitz. Even though these birds had been released by Indiana DNR about a month ago, they behaved much like the wild pheasants that I have hunted in western states. This is Blitz's first hunting season and she is coming along nicely.

This is a photo from about 1950 of my grandfather Willie Stevens. This was taken outside Milan, MI. If you notice the dog, Duke, is delivering the bird after his retrieve and is an English Pointer. My grandfather trained them to hunt close and retrieve, both of which they are not prone to do. He even took Duke duck hunting and he would water retrieve as well. I know I am biased but I think this picture should be be on the cover of every issue of Gun Dog. By the way, the shotgun he is holding is an improved cylinder "Sweet 16".

My Flat-coated Retriever, Silver Grand Champion Can/Am CH StormWatch Thunderclapp Tegan, JH WCX CGC, aka: Tegan! Tegan is back to work in the field after having a litter of pups. When we bred her, she was working hard toward Master - lovely straight lines and beautiful 200 yard channel blinds - but breeding her had to take precedence. (She was also Best of Opposite Sex at Westminster in 2012, the No. 1 Flat-Coated bitch in the U.S. in 2012 and the No. 5 all-breed FCR in 2012 - she was a very versatile gal last year!)
Gorgeous type, talent and pedigree served this beautiful bitch well. Hope you like her very first picture since having her lovely litter of 5 puppies.

I just wanted to forward a picture of my Silver Lab, Woody. He's 2 years, 11 months old and here he is pictured waiting patiently in the duck blind last weekend in Yorkville, IL, on the Fox River. He's turned into such a good boy and a wonderful hunter. He's not perfect but he's perfect to me and my hunting buddies! Thank you for allowing us to boast about our wonderful gun dogs and thanks for having such an awesome magazine!

This is my boykin, Abby, and her first duck season started November 25, 2011, and it’s been a blast ever since. Attached is a picture of her latest hunt. At 23lbs she was able to get back all of these geese. She slept for two days after this one.
