A coonhound from Boulder, Colo., has been dubbed the pooch with the “longest ears on a living dog” by the folks compiling the 2012 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records.
Harbor is an 8-year-old, 93-pound black and tan coonhound that’s been proudly displaying his floppy record-breakers since he was just a pup.
“When he was 9 months old, he was sitting in his crate and his ears were hanging down over his paws,” the dog’s owner, Jennifer Wert told the Denver Post.
According to Guiness, Harbor’s left ear measure 12.25 inches, and his right is 13.5 inches, and he was beaten in ear size by Tigger, a bloodhound from Illinois.
As we know, Harbor’s ears aren’t exactly helping him hear that much better, but he’s not complaining. He just sleeps all day and enjoys the life of a record dog.
